Both these teams though, are having a down week. They both suffered disappointing and surprising losses last Sunday. The Jaguars got their first win against the Titans, and the Rams were able to pull off a easy win over the colts with an amazing performance by Tavon Austin.
The Colts looked like they were falling out of their good season this year when the Titans got up 14-0, both of the touchdowns were on awesome runs by Chris Johnson. One, where he just made it look like the defenders were made of feathers, running 20 yards to the end zone, and the other might have been even better, even though it was only 6 yards. He runs into the pile, finding the tiniest gaps to get through, the almost gets tackled on the one, but on a great third effort, gets tackled into the end zone for a touchdown. It looked like the Colts might lose to 2 bad teams in a row.
In the third quarter, it was 17-6 Titans, the Colts didn't have any touchdowns. This run was the start of the Colts' second half comeback. Donald Brown on the Colts hopped over 3 defenders and made his way into the end zone, a great run.
On the next kickoff, the Colts forced a fumble and recovered it on the Titans 20, already in field goal range.
On 2nd and 1, 2 plays later, Andy Luck, usually not a running quarterback, finds a lane and runs into the end zone, giving the Colts a 23-17 lead.
The Colts pulled away in the 4th when Donald Brown had another good 10 yard run for a touchdown.
The Titans almost came back, but could quite get there. The Colts took the win, 30-27.
I think this was an important win for the Colts because another loss would have taken a lot of their confidence away. If they lost to 2 teams in a row with losing records, then that wouldn't give them very much motivation against a team like the Broncos or the Chiefs.
